From 17–19 September, Kunsthal Extra City hosts the eighth edition of The Image Generator. Under the theme sound, the three-day festival brings together an international line-up of artists exploring the intersections of visual art, performance and sound.

Throughout the festival, installations, performances, sound works and artistic interventions unfold across the former Dominican church that houses Kunsthal Extra City. Visitors are invited to move freely through the building and discover the programme at their own pace.

The 2026 edition features works by Younes Baba-Ali, Samuel Baidoo, Line Boogaerts & Ditmar Goes, Lotte Boonstra, Charlotte Bouckaert, Evelien Cammaert, Cie Les Connexions Oubliées, Niel De Vries, Numina Gneisspecker, Ildikó Horváth, Vinny Jones, Bart Lodewijks, Smila Mania, Cally Spooner, Karl Van Welden, Benjamin Verdonck & Lucas van Haesbroeck, and Moni Wespi.
