Visual artist Angel Vergara and independent curator Joël Benzakin were invited by the Centre Culturel d’Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve to curate the 9th Biennial for contemporary art (BIENNALE9), titled ‘Oh les beaux jours!’. From 5 October till 10 December 2017 more then 50 international artists will present installations, performances, images and video in the public space of Louvain-la-Neuve.

In this Extra Academy Vergara and Benzakin will present the selected artists and the artistic content of this Biennial.

Extra Academy is the spontaneous alliance of Extra City Kunsthal Antwerpen and the two art schools of the city, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Sint-Lucas Antwerpen.
