On Friday 26 June, Kunsthal Extra City will host the seventh edition of Ménage à trois, an annual gathering for artists, arts professionals and organisations from Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia. The programme brings together different voices from the visual arts field to exchange experiences and reflect on the future of the sector.
Ménage à trois is an initiative of Flanders Arts Institute and the Direction des Arts visuels of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. The programme creates space for dialogue between artists and arts professionals from Wallonia, Brussels and Flanders, encouraging exchange, encounter and collaboration across linguistic and regional boundaries.
This seventh edition focuses on how the visual arts sector can organise itself in a context of increasing pressure and diminishing public support. Across Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia, the visual arts ecosystem is facing significant challenges, making collaboration, knowledge-sharing and solidarity more urgent than ever.
Throughout the day, artists, arts professionals and organisations will share ideas, experiences and perspectives on the future of the field. Together, participants will explore how new forms of support, collaboration and solidarity can contribute to a resilient and sustainable arts sector.
